What is Innovation Guild?

In the vast tapestry of India’s rural communities, countless life-changing small innovations remain unreachable to the small holder farmers and farm workers. Innovators often lack the necessary resources to take their innovations to the farthest corners of the country.

Innovation Guild is a collaborative platform connecting innovators and rural communities and other ecosystem players. The platform builds an innovation ecosystem building trust, skills and feedback loops at both ends strengthening partnerships.

Stakeholders

Village Entrepreneur

A Village Entrepreneur is someone in rural areas with skills and tools to support assembling/ repairing of farming machinery. They will be selected from village folks with technical abilities and a desire to learn and help the community with these services.

Someone who has created a small farm machine/ equipment and is willing to help their community with their innovative invention and access their product to village level.

CSO/ NGO

Community groups like CSOs, FPOs, and WSHGs help create and support Village Entrepreneurs by finding out what the community needs and finding clients and business opportunities for them to succeed.

Incubators

Innovators, supported by top social-oriented incubator agencies, connect with each other and essential partners, collaborating to tackle challenges like access to credit. These incubators also help innovators gain knowledge and support their initiatives.

How We Work

Village Entrepreneurs may be promoted/ identified by an organisation (NGO/CSO/project/government program) taking responsibility to support it. They are on boarded/ register into this website to be part of the IG ecosystem. The VEs will be trained in basic fabrication and/or other relevant training and technically supported in establishing a small fabrication unit. Innovators and incubators also register themselves to be part of the ecosystem. The IG Platform enables conversations, exchange and partnership between the innovators and the village entrepreneurs; that may even develop into business relationships. The Innovators’ innovations will be beamed across the Village Entrepreneurs’ network and supports them to link up to those who have shown interest and develop technical/ business partnership. Similarly the problems faced by farmers in the locations will be picked by the Ves and shared with the Innovators through the platform for solutions and so on.
